Meadowbank has been at the heart of the local community for more than 50 years and its commitment to sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing of the city has never changed. Host to two Commonwealth Games in 1970 and 1986 - the first venue to host the Games twice - Meadowbank is steeped in Scottish sporting history. The new Meadowbank Sports Centre re-opened in 2022 with a full suite of breathtaking facilities including a multi-purpose gym, 2 Fitness Studios, 3 Games Halls, Squash Courts, 3G sport pitches and indoor and outdoor athletics tracks. The venue is also home to meeting rooms, the Edinburgh Leisure corporate offices and Cafe Refresh for hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and treats.
