Kent Sport, the University of Kent's Department of Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation, is situated at the Sports Centre and The Pavilion on the Canterbury campus. It oversees the University's recreational facilities and development of sport at Kent. With a dedicated sports development team, fully qualified health and fitness instructors and support staff - the department offers a wide range of services and caters for over 30 different activities, from racket sports to a casual workout. The University of Kent provides sports facilities for students and staff as well as the general public with different levels of membership available.
"While some laud the excellent facilities and reasonable rates, pervasive overcrowding and limited equipment are significant deterrents. Issues with inconsistent opening hours and perceived gender-based scheduling disparities also detract from the overall experience."
